In This Twilight Our Choices Seal Our Fate

Hey everybody - I've got an outfit full of fall colours and textures!

I still adore my high waisted Cheap Monday jeans. They give your waist definition even with an oversized shirt like I have here.

I got this bracelet at a boutique (LynnSteven) in Gastown, Vancouver. It's made from two spoons! I have been wearing it non-stop since I got it.

I found a woolly bear caterpillar! He was almost as fuzzy as my scarf.

I love maple leaves in the sun! I feel so Canadian.

But Our Story Was Not Told

Uh-oh... I discovered TopShop in Canada. This is the first (and certainly not the last) purchase I made! I was doing dress detail research when I found the TopShop section in The Room at The Bay. The Room is similar to Holt Renfew but they carry clothing and brands a bit more appealing to someone my age (Erdem, Sonia Rykiel, Balmain, Alexander McQueen etc etc).

I have a super simple outfit today because the shirt is so so beautiful I didn't want to overcomplicate the outfit. It's a heavily beaded chiffon tank top.

The shirt is a lot more sparkly in person and it is literally heavy with all the beads. I hope you can see how intricate the design is!

Shirt: TopShop from The Room at The Bay. Shorts: My all time favourite Cheap Mondays.

I'm Never Changing Who I Am

It's sunny in British Columbia! I found the most amazing field of buttercups near my house and had to take pictures! My outfit is what I'd wear pretty much any day during the summer. I never wore white regularly until recently but I am loving it because it makes me look a bit tanned...

This shirt is the perfect opacity for the shape - you can't really notice it's sheer until light comes through from behind. I like how my shirt keeps me covered up but doesn't hide my sillhouette.

I just discovered how to make Gifs... Now you can see how I dance to Mac Miller's Knock Knock.

Things I Felt But I Never Said

Hey everybody! My first year is over and I'm finally out of school for the summer! During my spring semester I was required to design, draft (from scratch) and sew a skirt, pair of pants and a shirt. This is my shirt prototype -- My final shirt looks the same but I adjusted the collar, button placement and length of placket oh and it's blue!
The shirt (including the final version) took around 40 hours of class time and ended up being around 15 pattern pieces.
My favourite part is the inverted topstitched darts! I sewed the darts to the outside and then topstitched the excess over to one side. This necklace is actually a magnifying glass!
Shirt: Made by me. Jeans: Cheap Monday. Shoes: Aldo. Necklace: H&M.

Earth Angel, Please Be Mine

School's out on break! All I feel like doing is resting lately! This outfit is perfect for my relaxed attitude at the moment. This sweater is wool and it keeps me soo warm (which is unnecessary because here in Vancouver we didn't even come close to a white Christmas...).I was shopping with my mom when we bought the scarf. The funny thing is I really didn't like it in the store... She had to talk me into buying it (my mom knows best)! As soon as we got home I realized how lovely it is! On my early mornings to school this scarf is amazing -- I bury my face in it and pretend I'm in bed instead of waiting for transit at 6:30am haha!

Lend Me Your Hand And We'll Conquer Them All

I found leopard print pants! They make me so happy haha. This is also a new shirt for me from a day I was doing research for a project downtown (I really should leave my wallet at home next time...). I am normally a mall shopper with occasional trips downtown but doing my project has changed my prospective - I was supposed to find stores that sold local clothing. I found the greatest small unique stores that I never would have gone to but now they will be part of my regular shopping trips.
This is one of my black kittens! His name is Kevin and he doesn't like staying still for pictures.
These are my new booties! They are really comforable because the wedge isn't very high. I've worn them downtown for assignment research etc and they haven't let me down yet.
Shirt: Gentle Fawn. Pants: Citizens of Humanity. Shoes: Locale.

I Intend To Hold You For The Longest Time

Another fun fall scarf post! This one I got while on another assignment for school. I was at a market in my small town and I found these cool scarves!
They are hand made from lots of long strips of fabric. I liked this neutral grey colour because it'll go with nearly everything this fall.
Since it's nearly October and October means Halloween...This is my kitten/cat! His name is MayRay (For the Vancouver hockey player Mason Raymond)Shirt: TNA. Scarf: Bought at a market. Earrings: Betsey Johnson.
